Staff at a Newton Aycliffe care home have thrown a party to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
Celebrations were held last month at Lindisfarne Care Home, in Silverdale Place, for employees, residents and their families.
Deputy Mayor of Great Aycliffe, Cllr Mary Dalton, attended the event and handed bouquets of flowers to two staff members who have worked at the home from the outset.
They are Gillian Lapworth, who works in the laundry, and former care assistant turned kitchen assistant Carol Booth.
Wendy Rogers, who is activities coordinator alongside Rebecca Robertson, said: “We had a lovely time. The residents absolutely adored it and adored watching us put the decorations up as well as singing along with the entertainment and having dance. Staff contributed to everything and were wonderful.”
Refreshments were served in the sensory room at the home, managed by Carol Jones, following the performance by a singer.
