Our residents at Ouston had a visit from Ashley at Reminiscience and his virtual reality technology this week. The residents put on the virtual reality head sets and are transported to famous landmarks and sights all over the northeast. The residents were able to visit local beaches such as South Shields as well as take a tour around Beamish Museum. One of our residents was amazed to find to that she was able to take a tour around the inside of St Mary's Cathedral as it was somewhere she had never visited before. All the residents enjoyed the experience and loved being able to revisit their favourite places.
Ashley will be back to see our residents in a few weeks time to spread some Christmas cheer. Our residents can look forward to visiting some Christmas scenes such as Fenwick's Window, Beamish Xmas Fayre and the Xmas lights of Newcastle.
